You will be pleased to know we have had our first official argument of the holiday! It started badly by having to pack up a lot of wet things as the rain did not stop. Then we nearly ran out of petrol on the motorway and finally and most traumatic of all the Sat Nav doesn't know CZ so we had a very badly printed out (the printer cartridge had run out of black ink so it was somewhere between blue/pink) map of the campsite... what should have been a 3 hour journey turned into nearly 5 most of that spent driving around the edge of Prague itself. Needless to say my usual unflapable husband began doing the man thing (although he did eventually stop and ask for directions... picture of him returning to the car below). I know I am a women and not a PROFESSIONAL NAVIGATOR (an odd sleepless night has been had on how he copes in the sky when he has no ability on the ground) but when someone barks at you "what way should I go but don't look at the map it is useless"........ I did get somewhat perplexed. Anyhow after a frosty start with each other on arrival we are in the campsite beer garden complete with wi-fi and park so peace has most definately been restored. We are all looking forward toPrague tomorrow. Keep you posted x
Stu says the German people don't just suffer from road works they positively celebrate them - so much so that when they have a stretch of perfectly serviceable road they just cone off a lane because they enjoy it.
PS we are definately getting the bus in...............
PPS The argument was caused because we were trying to navigate on a map that was at such a large scale that it didn't even have our destination on it (Comment from Stu - but don't get me started).
PPPS. He knew that before we left.
PPPPS No I didnt - if I did I would never have allowed it.
Ab you make me laugh x

ReplyDeleteThere's nothing wrong with his navigating that a few million pounds worth of kit won't cure, we remember only too well Calais. The site looks good, can't wait to see the picture of the caravan you are putting us in. I am really envious Abby of the bucket of wine, keep up the good work. Love to you all Mum and Dad xxxx
